Levels
Choose a giving level

$5

Level Phytoplankton

Your donation will go to providing necessary laboratory supplies such as nitrile gloves to protect students from harmful chemicals and ethanol and wash acetone to keep our lab space clean!

$10

Level Pufferfish

Your donation will contribute to necessary laboratory chemicals to help students study and analyze samples ranging from fish, coastal survey samples, and water samples here from the Cape Fear River and our coastline!

$20

Level Grouper

Your donation will provide equipment for our microscopic Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, which will allow students to identify the type of plastics found in their samples to better understand how different plastics impact the environment.

$50

Level Tuna

Your donation will provide students with spectrogram software to analyze marine acoustics, or listen to the natural sounds captured of the marine environment to understand how human impact changes the sounds of our seascapes

$100

Level Tiger Shark

Your contribution will help provide a hydrophone system for student research in marine acoustics and capturing sound in our coastal ecosystems. This sound system will help us better understand how human impact changes sound in the ocean and studies how animals may vocalized in the marine environment!

$250

Level Blue Whale

This will directly fund ship time necessary to survey offshore locations for visual and audio data. Ship time and marine acoustics are the most expensive portions of our work, but are just as critical as any to give students hands on experience in research in the field!
