DeMarco Cain is an approved Senior Narrative Production Seminar thesis project sponsored and supported by UNCW. The Senior Seminar is a competitive and application-only course that enrolls only our most skilled and talented students. That being said, we need your help! In order to produce a high-quality short film like this one we need your support to make this possible. Student productions get no financial support from the university and thus are dependent on the generosity of people in the community. This project is not just a film to us but a story of hard choices and the human condition. We are determined to make it the best it can be and entertaining and compelling for audiences of all ages. Any amount donated would be so very appreciated!
DeMarco Cain, written and directed by Dorón Morgan, is a compelling coming of age narrative that highlights the dangers of senseless violence and the pressures of fitting in. A young boy who is on a troubling path to becoming a product of his environment is forced into a predicament by aggressors that mask themselves behind the title of "friend". With so much happening around him so fast, he must make a choice between his friendships or his morals.
The crew is comprised of talented and passionate UNCW Film students who have a wide range of experience and dedication to making the best film possible.

Since UNCW does not pay for any student productions it is up to the students to raise money to fund their film. In order to bring this passion project to life and to make it the best it can possibly be we created this budget breakdown of rough estimates of where your money is going. Making a film is a rewarding but not cheap process and with your help we can make something spectacular just the way we want!
