UNCW's Musical Theatre Club is a new performance-based student organization on campus. We strive to give students a new way to express themselves through musical theatre. MTC aims to have our members perform in the community and show off the talent that we possess. We love getting on stage to belt out show-tunes and breaking into random dance numbers! Musicals are a great way of telling stories that anyone can relate to and enjoy. There is nothing like seeing, or performing in, a live production of a musical! We hope to bring this experience to UNCW's students, as well as the Wilmington community.
Fall Cabaret
Each fall, MTC produces a Cabaret to showcase some of our best talent. Each year a different theme is chosen for the Cabaret. Our Fall 2018 Cabaret's theme is Disney! We will showcase classic Disney, including Broadway and movie songs.
Spring Musical
In the spring of each year we hope to put on a full production of a musical. As the Musical Theatre Club we want to give our members a chance to actually be involved in a full production with every aspect of a musical. That includes singing, dancing, acting, costumes, lighting, and sound. Putting on a musical is a large feat and we do not take this lightly. A lot goes into making a musical, a large amount of time and money. We as a club are prepared to make the time but we need some help with the money aspect.
We are grateful for anything given to us, every little bit helps get this club off the ground!
